At the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, Pierre graduated with the Dirk Pereres project. He downloaded thousands of personal files from home pc's by means of peer-to-peer software. After restoring the anonimity, he made these accidentally shared passwords, photos, idcard scans, videos etc. public again.
The use of found footage seems to be a continuing theme in his work.
For the group exhibition ‘Pre-Accelerator’ in Villanuts, Pierre used footage (video / photo) from or related to the investigation into the John F. Kennedy assassination. This resulted in an interactive projection of a photo panorama from Dealey Plaza consisting of images found on the internet. He used forensic pictures to make a button badge collection, and turned the basement into a secret CIA / Lee Harvey Oswald hideout.
