Bouwe van der Molen is an independent graphic designer with an international orientation based in Amsterdam. His background lies in content driven, editorial design. Next to running a design company he is involved in several platforms that are in one way or another related to design. One of these is Le Grand Crew.
Drawings that flow from Bouwe's pen are a result of the intuitive continuation of a line. As his hand traces the images in his head, diverse subjects coming from the back of his mind form strange juxtapositions on paper. Bouwe is fascinated by machines, anatomy and the schematic representation of moving and living things. Besides drawing he often uses stencils and spray-paint and he has recently started silk-screen printing.
